Creation of a series of stamps, stamps and postcards to mark the 150th anniversary of Canada’s confederation, with the aim of redefining Canadian identity and highlighting the country’s important Aboriginal heritage. The names of hundreds of lakes, rivers, cities and provinces are derived from Aboriginal languages. The stamp is the ideal medium for representing a nation’s identity.

The aim of this project is to highlight this etymological heritage by visually translating the original meanings of geographical locations of indigenous origin. These meanings are represented by pictograms based on Resilience typography.

This series of stamps is accompanied by postcards featuring the graphic identity of the Kauaueiat exhibition. These different tools enable the exhibition to be presented on several different levels.
